Spring is in full swing, and the Joliet Park District is hopping with excitement for a unique twist on a classic Easter tradition! Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM, when the Inwood Athletic Club Pool transforms into an egg-citing adventure zone for the Easter Egg Hunt in the Pool. This family-friendly event promises a splash of fun for swimmers of all ages, complete with crafts, snacks, and, of course, a one-of-a-kind egg hunt!
What to Expect
Bring your swimsuits and get ready for an afternoon packed with activities! Here’s what’s in store:
- Open Swim: The pool will be open for all registered swimmers to enjoy some free swim time.
- Crafts & Snacks: Take a break from the water to create a fun craft and munch on a tasty snack.
- Two Egg Hunts: We’re splitting the fun into two groups to ensure everyone has a great time:
- Little Kids’ Hunt: For younger swimmers, this hunt takes place in water depths of **2’ to 3’6”**. Perfect for the little ones!
- Bigger Kids’ Hunt: Older kids will dive into water depths of **3’6” to 5’** for their egg-collecting challenge.
Each hunt is designed for maximum fun and safety. Swimmers will clear the pool before each hunt begins, and participants with the matching wristband will splash in to gather eggs. Once collected, kids can crack open their eggs to see if they’ve snagged one of the **large prizes**! After the excitement, please return your eggs so they can be reused for future events.
Goody Bags and More
Every registered swimmer will leave with a smile and a **goody bag**, plus enjoy the included snack and craft. Parents, you’re welcome to join your kids in the pool for open swim—though we ask that you step out of the water during the bigger kids’ hunt to give them plenty of space to splash around.
